MUAH! When the whole room was lit up!

Animator’s Palate was my favorite restaurant when we took our cruise on the Disney Wonder. Watching the room change colors during our dinner was truly magical, and you could certainly tell Disney spared no expense when designing the entire experience.

Today, Disney Cruise Line’s Jonathan Frontado, posted about the NEW Animator’s Palate that will be on the Disney Dream:

We are getting ready to present a completely re-imagined version of our signature restaurant. The minute you walk into Animator’s Palate, you know you’re in for a treat –- it will feel like you’ve entered a classic animation studio, filled with character maquettes, paint brushes, colored pencils and other tools of the trade. Throughout the restaurant are sketches from the Disney-Pixar film “Finding Nemo.”

Our “Give a Day, Get a Disney Day” story unfolds through thousands of individual photos featuring Walt Disney World Cast Members moving sticky notes around by hand – no video cameras were used. Also, there were no post-production “tricks” used to create the giant sticky note Mickey Mouse, the background or to “animate” the pieces of paper…

Disneyland Tips For Moms (and Dads)

If you’re a mom (or dad), you’re busy wiping and feeding all the time—even at the Disneyland Resort. However, your next visit can still be fun and much easier with the following tips:

- Mark your stroller with a brightly colored scarf, ribbon or bandana, so you can spot your stroller in the sea of strollers.

- Visit the Baby Care Centers. They provide moms a place to breast feed and there are even training toilets for toddlers. (No reason to stop the training during vacation, right?) There are also supplies available for purchase.

- If you need a break from walking, take the train. It begins on Main Street, U.S.A. and stops in Mickey’s Toontown, Tomorrowland and New Orleans Square.

While this blog is directed at visitors to Disneyland Park in California, the tips Heather shares can be applied to Walt Disney World Resort in Florida as well. You can read the rest of her park tips here.

The Wiltshire town, famous for its many roundabouts and rail and heritage, has won a competition to be the first ever UK twin town of Walt Disney World, Florida.

Disney held a contest to find its Twin Town in the United Kingdom and thanks to 20-year-old Rebecca Warren, Swindon in Wiltshire has been named Walt Disney Worlds first ‘Twin Town.’

Disney World celebrates Walt Disney’s birthday with new Epcot tilt-shift video

Well, Mickey may not have been walking in this year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, but he was certainly present! This year Sailor Mickey made his debut and what a treat it was!

November 26, 2009 — Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade marched down 7th street this morning in New York City, New York, Included in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade was the highly anticipated Sailor Mickey Mouse who was being sold as a plush in the Macy’s Department store. Mickey Mouse had his captain hat on and dressed like he just came off the boat floating through the air between the skyscrapers.
